Hits: Time:2020-10-27 14:53

On October 27th, Yan Wei, a teacher from Emei Counseling Department of the Psychological Research and Counseling Center of Southwest Jiaotong University, conducted a group counseling themed "Live in the Present as You Wish" for 18 international students in room 1433 in the main building of Emei Campus.

During the group counseling, students got to know each other through their interesting self-introduction.

Then, with the aid of music and painting, the students looked back on and shared their personal growth experiences, and further clarified their purpose of studying abroad and their learning objectives for the new semester.

Finally, Ms. Wei led the students through the mindfulness breathing exercise, which helped the students experience the integration of wishes and goals into their presently focused study life.

The group counseling strengthened the friendship among the international students, enhanced their sense of learning objectives, and endowed them with a new experience of Chinese culture’s power of living in the present.
