"Love is the fountain of life, nourishing its growth; love is a torch in the wind, lighting up the hope of tomorrow." On the morning of March 25th, the mental health education and promotion campaign of "Love Yourself" by universities in Western China was launched at the Xipu Campus of SWJTU. The event is themed "love yourself and pursue your dreams".

Chen Xiaohong, director of the Division of Publicity and Ideological Work of Sichuan Education Department, Chen Zhijian, deputy party secretary of Southwest Jiaotong University, Professor Zheng Linke, director of the Mental Health Training and Research Base of Universities of Shaanxi, Ning Weiwei, director of the Psychological Research and Counseling Center of Southwest Jiaotong University, and Chen Hua, deputy director of Psychological Research and Counseling Center of Southwest Jiaotong University attended the event. Mental health education experts from provinces including Shaanxi, Guizhou and Qinghai, teachers and students from over 20 universities in the province, as well as leaders, teachers and students of various functional departments and schools of SWJTU attended the event.

Ning Weiwei, initiator of "Love Yourself" campaign and director of the Psychological Research and Counseling Center of Southwest Jiaotong University, introduced the activity of "Love Yourself". The "Love Yourself" mental health education and promotion campaign has won many honors such as the "Ninth Outstanding Achievement Award of Campus Culture Development" of the Ministry of Education. The event not only has enjoyed much greater participation by and recognition from colleges and universities but also has even expanded its reach from universities to enterprises.

After the speeches by representatives of teachers and students, Professor Ning Weiwei, deputy secretary-general of the Expert Steering Committee on University Mental Health Education of the Ministry of Education, announced the commendation list of outstanding units and individuals in the mental health promotion and education activities of "Love Yourself". Then the leaders presented awards to outstanding units and individuals and letters of appointment to education and supervision experts.

After the oath of “I cherish love and get lasting love; I give love and experience the sweetness of love; I know how to love and how to face it”, Ning Weiwei, director of the Psychological Research and Counseling Center of Southwest Jiaotong University, and Zheng Linke, director of the Institute of Psychological Studies of Xi 'an Petroleum University, jointly inaugurated the "Love Yourself (3.25)" Mental Health Education Alliance for Universities of Western China.

Following the unveiling, Chen Xiaohong, director of the Publicity and Ideological Work Department of Sichuan Education Department, delivered a speech. She praised SWJTU for preparing rich and lively activities in such a short time.

The event was rounded off by "Oath of Love", an art performance by teachers and students of the Psychological Research and Counseling Center and the Music Department of the School of Humanities of Southwest Jiaotong University.
