On the morning of March 25, 2016, the “Kindly Love Yourself (3.25)” mental health education promotion campaign was jointly launched by colleges and universities of Sichuan and Shaanxi. The theme of this campaign is “Kindly love yourself and light up the hope of tomorrow.”

Xu Fei—the president of Southwest Jiaotong University (SWJTU), Liu Haifeng from the department of publicity and ideology of Education Office of Sichuan province, Zheng Linke—the head of the mental health education training and research base for colleges and universities of Shaanxi province, Shen Huoming—a member of the standing committee of the Party committee of SWJTU, Wu Yuanqing—the vice president of the Party School of Pixian County, the heads and deputy Party secretaries of all departments of SWJTU, and the representatives of students of SWJTU attended the launching ceremony. Besides, representatives of teachers and students from colleges and universities of Sichuan province and Shaanxi province, including Sichuan University, University of Electronic Science and Technology of China, Southwest University of Finance and Economics, Southwest Petroleum University, Sichuan Agricultural University, Xijing University, Shaanxi University of Communication Technology, Xi'an University of Technology, Shaanxi University of Science and Technology, Xi’an University of Science and Technology, Xi'an Polytechnic University, Xi'an University of Posts and Telecommunications, and Xi'an Academy of Fine Arts attended the mental health education promotion campaign.

As the initiator of the “kindly love yourself (3.25) mental health education campaign, Professor Ning Weiwei, also the director of the Psychological Research and Counseling Center of SWJTU, briefly introduced the origin and development of this mental health education campaign. He noted that although physical health and mental health were equally important, but a good state of mind was the spiritual pillar and sustenance for a healthy body. Therefore, everything starts from improving the mental health, which is the precondition for physical health. Only when one is both mentally and physically healthy can he devote himself to the society and his motherland. The aim of "kindly love yourself (3.25)" campaign is to care for college students by solving their mental problems and help them have an even brighter future.

 At the end of the meeting, Xu Fei, the president of SWJTU delivered an enlightening and encouraging speech. He pointed out that a good university should shape and educate its students with great virtue and love. Southwest Jiaotong University has been promoting liberal education, humanistic education, quality-oriented education and soul education, endeavoring to build an innovative talents cultivation system that incorporates values shaping, personality formation, capability cultivation, and knowledge exploration. Psychological education is in essence the soul education, and the psychological education is indispensable to the cultivation of talents of both ability and political integrity. Xu Fei then added that in the 21st century that is rapidly developing and full of pressures, "kindly love yourself (3.25)" college students mental health education campaign has epoch significance and can effectively help college students solve their psychological problems that they themselves cannot solve. At the end of his speech, Xu expressed his sincere hope that the “kindly love yourself (3.25)” mental health education campaign for the colleges and universities of both Sichuan and Shaanxi could proceed smoothly in a loving and harmonious atmosphere, and in the near future the "kindly love yourself" mental health education alliance could develop into a nationwide one and even a worldwide one.
