First, Madam Wang introduced Professor Chen Hua and warmly welcomed the students to the online lecture. At the beginning of her lecture, Professor Chen Hua introduced the general mentality of college students under this round of epidemic on the basis of the survey data. She noted that in the face of repeated outbreaks across the country, we should take the initiative to make psychological adjustment. Then, she introduced some practical psychological adjustment methods.

Professor Chen Hua suggested that under the epidemic we should maintain a regular life. Maintaining a regular routine helps us enhance our sense of control and keep our life in our own hands, which embodied the wisdom of "coping with shifting events by sticking to a fundamental principle". She then put forward the method for cognition adjustment. Specifically speaking, we should accept the changes that have taken place in our life under the epidemic and change our cognitive style to look at things from a new perspective. She continued to recommend the ABC theory and stressed the importance of reshaping cognition.

Finally, Professor Chen explained two simple and effective methods in detail. The first one is the five-step mind tranquilization method. She suggested that students close their eyes and enjoy a piece of music, feel the breath, experience the hug, imagine the peace of the mountain, and learn to be grateful, not only be grateful for the companionship and support of our parents, relatives, friends, teachers and classmates during the epidemic, but also be grateful to yourself for your hard working under the epidemic. The second method is mandala painting. Mandala painting compensates for mental disorders and confusion by building a center that connects all things. The process of coloring helps to stabilize the mood, relieve anxiety, integrate inner contradictions, and results in internal harmony and stability.
