The trade union invited Associate Professor Feng Jin to conduct an empowerment activity through creative graffiti for the teachers of PRCC. The host of the activity was Madam Sun Chenli.
As introduced by the host, this activity aimed at providing a "spiritual massage" service for the teachers to strengthen their body and mind so that they can work more actively in the process of revitalizing Southwest Jiaotong University.
Next, Madam Feng Jin explained the process of the activity and led the audience to go through it.
First, under Madam Feng’s instruction, the participating teachers slowly closed their eyes to the soothing music and had a relaxation from head to toe.
Then Madam Feng divided the teachers into pairs and asked them to choose the painting brush according to their personal preference. She moved on to demonstrate the first step of the creative graffiti. Each teacher completed the profile of their own with the help of their teammates.
Then, Madam Feng showed and explained many graffiti paintings of different styles to the teachers to open their minds and achieve good stress relieving effect by means of graffiti. Under the guidance of Madam Feng, all the teachers plunged themselves into the creation of their own graffiti.
After completing their graffiti, the teachers showed their own graffiti works and shared their feelings one after another.
This creative graffiti activity allowed everyone to fully feel the powerful healing energy the painting relaxation technique brought to the soul, further strengthened the exploration of their inner world, and deepened the understanding of their partners and enhanced the connection with each other. All teachers expressed that they had spent a pleasant afternoon thanks to this painting relaxation activity organized by the trade union.
Postscript: Painting is the oldest form of expression of human thoughts and feelings, and all human beings have the potential to create unique and wonderful works that reflect their own spiritual world. In psychometrics and psychotherapy, painting projection techniques have also been widely used.
